LO Sister is an app, founded by Sadie Robertson Huff, created to "provide(s) encouragement and resources for you to be your most original self". This app is a way for girls and women to connect with each other and their faith. The app provides Bible studies, workshops, book clubs, and exclusive content and encouragement from Sadie and her ambassadors.
The purpose of this app was to give women a platform on social media to freely talk about their faith with other like-minded women. The app is designed to uplift and support other women in their faith, while providing a community of Christian women.
Thousands of young girls and women are members of the LO Sister app, and no matter what age group or walk of life you are currently in, there is an online community there to support you. The app caters to different groups: college students, young adults, working women, moms, or even just girls starting their journey of faith.
Since LO Sister includes so many opportunities to connect and interact, the app does require a monthly payment of $4.99. But with this payment all workshops, book clubs, and communities are available to connect with! With these exclusive connections, you are even able to communicate and build friendships within your own specific age groups and communities. And Sadie herself participates and communicates throughout the app, hosting book clubs and writing updates about her faith and her life.
While LO Sister is an app, there is a outside community as well. This year, Sadie hosted the fist ever LO Sister conference in her hometown, West Monroe, Louisiana in late August.
Over 1,000 young girls and women from across the country attended Christ Church for two days, listening to speakers, joining breakout sessions, and witnessing miracles.
I attended the LO Sister conference on August 27 & 28 with my friend Mackenzy Turner. We were blessed to listen to amazing speakers such as Jennie Allen, Demi Tebow, and Sadie Robertson Huff!
Not only did we get to see and hear these wonderful women speak about Truth, we were able to participate in breakout sessions. Each of these break sessions were about 30 minutes each and were separated between 5 different categories, each one specifically tailored for different interests of the women attending the conference. The five breakout sessions were divided into: Writing from the Heart of God, God's Design for Health, Fitness, and Nutrition, Stepping into God's Call, Capturing God's Beauty in Photography, and the Purpose of Sisterhood. Each of these sessions were led by LO Sister ambassadors, and opened the room to participation and discussions between attendees.
On the final night, we were able to receive an outstanding and motivational message from Sadie Robertson. This message and the overwhelming response, inspired over 100 girls to decide to transform their lives and get baptized that night.
The public baptisms that took place that night were so special and defined the overwhelming impact this conference had on young women. My personal favorite part of this conference was being able to witness one of my best friends get baptized and support her in her walk with Christ, and witnessing so many other girls make this choice as well.LO Sister, whether it is on a phone or a conference, is a community that welcomes and inspires girls to pursue their faith without any fear of judgement. The growth Sadie Robertson Huff has made from her app development to this life-changing conference, displays exactly the positive impact of LO Sister and the women who promote this wonderful community.
