19. Classmate Blog Critique

 Gwen Gunnels Blog Critique 

Being a Mass Communications major, it is a unique and rewarding experience to constantly be surrounded by creative and intellectual minds who are learning and developing skills in communications that we can learn from each other, as well as in the classroom. 

One of the best things about being a mass communications major is our unique availability to our classmate's work, so we can examine and evaluate different ideas separate from our own. Today, I will be discussing my classmate and friend Gwen Gunnels blog and how she has been a great example for exceptional writing and communication through her blogs.

Gwen's page stood out to me because she included a large, aesthetic picture that captures the immediate attention of the viewer, as soon as you access her page. The colors and picture create a calming and welcoming theme which drew me to her blog. 

Besides her aesthetic appeal, Gwen's written work is exceptional as well. In each publication on her blog, Gwen dives into great detail about the given topics. One of her blog posts that stuck out to me was her Opinion post, about James Corden and the petition Wicked fans are signing to keep him out of production. In this blog post, Gwen discussed this entertaining topic with an active voice and energetic tone throughout the blog. 

Just like her active voice, Gwen does a great job providing active sources throughout her blog, as well as interactive pictures and links, available to viewers.

Gwen's blog is a great example of a creative and organized blog, that attracts many views, and it has been an all around product of a professional blog. Although I took time today to look at Gwen's blog, I have enjoyed reviewing all of my classmate's blogs to see their creative ideas and unique communication skills throughout the semester.
